The Phenomenon of Virtual Pilgrimage and Its Prospects

The study considers whether virtual pilgrimage can become a meaningful complement to physical pilgrimage — particularly when travel or physical participation is not possible — while recognising the enduring importance of embodied and communal religious experience.
